Sad to say (and so quickly after the death of Killa Sha) but a member and integral part of the original Flavor Unit and cousin of Latee has passed on, Apache (Anthony Teaks) died from a protracted illness on Jan 22nd 2010, Apache will definitely be most remembered for his classic Q-Tip produced joint, 1992' "Gangsta Bitch" and his only album Apache Aint Shit (1993) which had production from Large Professor, DJ Mark The 45 King, Diamond D, S.I.D. Reynolds, Double J and Apache himself.
Apache first appeared on DJ Mark The 45 King and Louie Loiue's-Rhythmical Madness LP in 1989 on the cut "Smooth Yet Hard" which also featured Lakim Shabazz (come back Lakim Hip Hop needs you), then Apache had 3 cuts on great the The 45 King Presents The Flavor Unit LP (1990).
Apache also appeared on the dope Flavor Unit posse cut "Flavor Unit Assassination Squad" and had a dope cut on the 1993 release-Flavor Unit-Roll Wit Da Flava with "Keep It Real" (my fave joint from Apache) as well as guest appearances on records from Double J, Fat Joe, Naughty By Nature,Queen Latifah and 2-Pac, he also had a cameo role a mechanic in the film "Whos The Man" (1993)
